"Those other mons, they're weak! That dragon-snake for instance, powerful and independent, but alone. Pathetic and easily surmountable by many, she doesn't...inspire mehahaha...She was doing well, about to snuff an disobedient underling, but backed down at a crucial moment. A point was made, yes, but punishment was not finished.
Prix has made himself a worthy bloodline, but with his incompetence and bold errors, he's made far too many enemies. Especially when I have his rival's bloodline on my side, ahah! I have my share enemies, yes, even in my own bloodline! No, they are not worthy of my blood. But it's not enough to overthrow me, especially not now."

"How do you know what's going on? With the other ranches I mean..."

"I have eyes and ears everywhere, darling, it's only a matter of hours-no...minutes before i know who is where and who knows what. It's getting closer and closer for my plan to be put in action...Nations will be conquered and it'll start here...
And I'll get that pesky human girl to do it..."

"But what about Sage? He's practically her guardian, along with his little entourage..."

"I already have that sorted out as well, don't you have faith in me, darling? A good leader plans accordingly, all we must do now is wait for the time to strike."

"But my Queen! Why can't we strike today?! We've got the stupid idiots right where we want them--!"
With a swipe of her paw, Mei silenced Sneak Attack.

Mei was strangely calm, "Everything happens in its own time, especially when it plays in my favor. Dare to question me again?!"

Sneak Attack cowered in Mei's shadow, his paws covering his clawed face. Her attacks still hurt, even if he was part ghost.
"S-sorry milady, it won't happen again."

"If it does, it'll be the end for you."
-----

Mei laid sprawled out in the sun, she loved the heat, especially during the scorching hours of the summer day. It was one of her few pleasures and times to think. Being Queen takes a lot of work, which surprisingly she didn't mind, it was the end results that gave her the most satisfaction though. As her mind began to ponder more on the matter, he son, Lanhai approached her.
It wasn't uncommon for him to approach her during these times, it was moments like these she was at her least irritable.
"What is it, my pride? What do you need."

Lanhai was feeling unsure about his mother's plans for domination of Nations. There was no doubt she could do it, but the matter, was it right? Was her hurting pokemon and...killing others justified in her conquest? What was it all for? These questions had been stirred enough and he felt as if he was going to boil over.
"Mother...what...what are you going to do if you're Queen?"

"What do you mean?" This question caught her attention and she glanced back at Lanhai, who was standing from behind her.

"What are you going to do with the people and pokemon if you're Queen?" He felt a lodge in his throat, he already knew the answer.

"Once, darling, ONCE I become Queen, I'll do what any other has done, rule them. But better."

Lanhai was taken aback, "'Rule' them?...h-how?"

"Are you being dense? Rule them the way they should! Honor for the strong, decimation for the weak." She stood up, "It'll be a kingdom of the proud, the strong, and the honorable. It'll unite all of the pokemon under one dynasty, one ruling household, my own! There won't be any need for wars, the weak will be killed off by then! Hahah...Of course, we'll all be united and in agreement so who can argue against? Of course anyone with the will or strength who thinks their way is better is more than welcome to challenge my ranks. But there won't be any need..."

"Why not?" Lanhai was intrigued, he could feel the pride emanating from her.

"Because, darling, you're mother always knows best." Her cocky smile made Lanhai gleam.
It was weird, her confidence in her plan made him feel a little better, in her own twisted way, she was aspiring for peace.
But still, it bothered him that there wouldn't be any freedom in this dynasty of hers. Would true peace require the sacrifice of freedom? Not to mention countless lives? This couldn't be the way but...She seems so confident that this is the answer, no wonder anyone weak willed would say no. She puts her will in them, it becomes them, and they in turn become a lot like her. Her army.
His decision now remains, will he fight for her? or protect the happiness he's already found in Nations the way it is?
What would be better...
